Just thought I would toss up a quick post, did this little sketch on the ipod. Happy with the result will probably try and do some more landscape type stuff over the christmas break.

Zbrush Relief

Long story short, I broke-down and started a zbrush piece. Have been doodling relief type stuff for a while and thought I would try doing a study. Here is the source ref and where I am currently @. Think it is going pretty well, focusing on keeping it clean and controlled. Still have a few loose spots to go, not sure if I am going to take this thru to texture or just stop after the sculpt.

Hard Surface Geo done!

Alright, after a fair amount of feet dragging the hi poly is done. Trim sections were added to the side, and panels created to fill out areas. Left the one trim blank for now, will adjust when I get it on the render mesh. Though light wear and tear was done in zbrush, I have decided that most of the dusty/decayed feel is going to be on the painting side of things. So now it is on to Photoshop! Not sure why all my text is now underlined, but can't seem to undo it :-)

Lost and Found!

Was digging through the Hard-drive trying to get things a little more organized when I can across this little one hiding in on old PSD, just felt like posting it.

Hard Surface Geo Update

quick update, here is where the max geo is currently at. Got a little carried away with small details but oh well. In the end I really want this piece to look dusty and forgotten, so the battle plan is to get it into Zbrush in some form or another to add dirt, dust and wear. On to the trim
sections!

Hard Surface Modeling

Decided I need a hard surface modeling project, currently devoid of ideas I turned to my "Art of Halo" book. Have started working on a wall texture from this concept by Frank Capezzuto. Will probably expand outward to do the door as well, we'll just see how this goes :-)

IPod touch sketches

picked up an ipod touch a little while ago, have been using SketchBook Mobile to paint with.
Really enjoying how basic it is. Here are a few attempts (the first image was done while waiting for an oil change).

First Post!

well, long story short I've decided to start a Wip blog. I want to use this as a place for small ideas, to avoid getting hung up on epic art projects.

So anyways here's a little one that I cooked up for unearthly challenge, trying for a really broken up terrain sorta feel.
